Mumbai, January 13, 2026 – In a poignant interview on Tuesday, Hema Malini shared the emotional challenges she has faced since the demise of Dharmendra. Reflecting on their 57-year companionship, she remarked, “I can’t imagine a life without him; I miss him every minute.” The actress also addressed her absence from the Mumbai screening of Dharmendra’s last film, Ikkis, which released on January 1.
She explained that her daughters, Esha and Ahana, also felt it would be “too overwhelming” to watch their father on screen so soon after his passing. “Maybe I will watch it later when the wounds start healing,” she shared. Hema Malini also used the opportunity to slam reports of a feud with Dharmendra’s first family, describing the rumors as “sad” attempts to use private grief for articles. She confirmed that the family is collaborating on preserving Dharmendra’s legacy, with Sunny Deol taking the lead on a museum project.
