A major accident occurred in the Banjar Valley of Himachal Pradesh as a 55-year-old bridge collapsed on NH-305 during the night. A tanker plunged into the river, though the driver was rescued and hospitalized. The collapse has cut off critical road connectivity, stranding tourists and disrupting local movement. Authorities have now announced the construction of a Bailey bridge to restore traffic.
