Saroop Chand

Saroop Chand is a highly experienced grassroots leader and a deeply committed community member who is once again contesting the election for the position of Pradhan in Chakban Samirpur Panchayat, Kangra District. Demonstrating immense public trust and a long-standing history of effective local governance, he successfully served consecutive terms as the village Pradhan after winning the elections in 2000 and 2005. His enduring dedication to public service later led him to be elected as a BDC (Block Development Council) member in 2010, where he further expanded his contributions to regional administration and governance.

Professionally a hardworking farmer, he remains deeply rooted in rural life and intimately connected to the everyday needs, challenges, and realities of his community. Widely respected for his strong leadership and unwavering commitment to public welfare, he successfully executed several notable development works throughout his extensive tenures.
